Sunday was heating up in Coimbatore. We were sweating up. Only thing that we can do to escape from the sunny weather, a ride to Ooty. We checked the online booking platforms for getting a space up in the blue hills. It was fully booked. We came to know two things, ooty will be crowded and we gonna be in a great mess without having a room.  Then we found the last option. Camp on top somewhere out from the crowd.

We started from Coimbatore by 11.00 AM. When we reached Mettupalayam, the roads where jam-packed. Full of traffic for more than two three kilometres after crossing the roadblocks. Just crossed the Mettupalayam bridge, there are two ways heading to Ooty. One is via Coonoor and the other one through Kotagiri. We usually take the second one, because that won’t be crowded and obviously bit longer. Once we started the climbing uphill we got relief.

This time we were accompanied by newly married brother Tyson and sister-in-law Aneesha. So we stopped almost all the picturesque locations, clicking pictures and having so much of rest. That was the most loved thing about the journey. We got so many pictures and moments.

Aventura – Camp. Play. Bond

Almost by evening six’o clock we reached the gate of Aventura. Aventura offers camping and adventure experience in Ooty. The one which we went is at the edge Tiger Hill. That’s why we can’t spot any humans other than who came like us. 11 Other couples were there to camp and it gave a great security feel for us.

We settled with keeping our luggages in the tent. We got two tents one is two person tent and other one was four person tent. Aventura have five person tents too. All are waterproof and neat sleeping bags in it.

Campfire was lighten up then, We sat bit away from the fire had chit chats along with boos. But as time goes up everyone encircled the fire. It was getting more chill. Then we had amazing time with other adventurists who were there. Making more friends and sharing stories.

Dev, the man who runs the Aventura came up with a telescope and started gazing the sky. It was a full moon day. Everyone got a chance to view the milky moon.

Music was getting louder our foots started step. Party is ON. Started dancing till get tired. Once we lost our energy we went back to the tents and crowded in to the sleeping bags

It was an early morning call for us and after performing our morning duties, we took a walk down the meadows and towards the lake. After spending some time there, we made our way back to our camp for some much needed breakfast, which is free along with the stay.

There were around hundreds of sparrows around Aventura. We spotted some more birds and we came to know the the manager Mr. Jerome feeds the most of the birds.

After having breakfast we said bye to Aventura, and left Tiger hill.
